Urushi is a traditional Japanese lacquering art, where the varnish is made from the sap of the Urushi tree (also known as the lacquer tree), which is mainly found in Japan and China. The resin is harvested once a year in small quantities, similar to how rubber is collected from the Hevea brasiliensis tree. These L.U.C XP Urushi timepieces were created in collaboration with Kiichiro Masumura, a world-renowned Urushi artist. The dials of the watches were hand-painted and embellished with gold dust by the Yamada Heiando Company, an official supplier to the Emperor of Japan.
